All of our ovens are AUTHENTIC BRICK not CLAY! Be careful of this when shopping oven brands- there IS A DIFFERENCE. Our ovens are HANDMADE in Portugal and are triple-insulated, which means the outside of the oven is cool to the touch while the inside is blazing hot!
Each oven has an inner layer of authentic fire brick and mortar, which is then covered with a thick layer of our own international patent of Rockwool Insulation that is secured with metal batting before an additional layer of refractory cement — guaranteeing durability and efficiency. Premium Hardware Only! The Premium Lisboa has a high-quality STAINLESS STEEL chimney flue and a black NON-RUST CAST ALUMINUM Door and Chimney Cavity. The door has a high-heat window pane that allows you to see the food you are cooking. The door on the Premium Lisboa Oven opens from left to right and is split like a barn/Dutch door.
This may sound exaggerated but yes, you can fit multiple pizzas inside this oven, but realistically, here's how Patio & Pizza recommends you get the most use out of your space. We've scaled it down so you can get the picture.

Our your pizza ovens already cured?
Our authentic brick pizza ovens do not arrive already cured and must be cured by the customer prior to first use for cooking. The curing process spans over several days and detailed instructions are provided with each oven or you may check out our How To Correctly Cure Your Brick Oven blog.
why are the fronts of these ovens darkened by smoke? doesn't the pipe deflect the smoke away from the front? also,most reviewers talk about how good the oven looks but not about how it cooks. is this more of a showpiece than a cookpiece? where does it crack? inside and outside? how does it bake bread? Does the floor distribute heat evenly? we want to bake bread and cook other foods besides pizza. can this do that?
Soot above the door opening of your oven is a common occurrence and it is a result of smoke escaping from your oven door. You are correct, the addition of a chimney will draw smoke away from your oven door however, the amount of smoke drawn away depends upon the height of your chimney and there will always be at least a small amount of smoke escaping out the door, especially in the beginning, when the fire is first started. However, after your oven reaches optimal temperature, the fire burns more efficiently resulting in virtually no smoke coming from the oven. Any soot which accumulates can be wiped off using products recommended by the manufacturer of your oven.
Our Lisboa pizza ovens are one of our most popular pizza ovens and they do look great, however, the comments we receive most often have more to do with how well these ovens cook - not only pizza, but breads and other dishes as well! These ovens are carefully crafted by artisans with generations of experience and are known for their ability to reach optimal temperature quickly and to retain that heat very well.
In regards to cracking, most brick ovens will crack - it’s very common. These fine cracks do not at all impact the efficiency of the oven itself. In fact overseas, these cracks are a sign of character, as in how well an oven does its job. it happens so often in fact, that we’ve written an article on the subject and also offer a product called UltraFire which will repair them.
