Countless tales have been told about the best backyards in history, whether they’re because of beautifully manicured lawns, topiary, or impressive orchards of trees. What we don’t often hear about, though, is the backyard that beats them all. No matter how many hours you spend trimming hedges and painting fences, no backyard will match the nonstop party of a yard with its own brick pizza oven.
Cookouts for days, delicious food for weeks, and memories that will last a lifetime all come with the territory of a backyard brick oven, and now that show-stopping potential can be all yours with the Pizzaioli Rustic Pizza Oven.
OVEN FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS
Note: As these ovens are handmade, no two are exactly the same - the dimensions and the colors may not be exact but are close.
All of our ovens are AUTHENTIC BRICK not CLAY! Be careful of this when shopping oven brands- there IS A DIFFERENCE. Our ovens are HANDMADE in Portugal and are triple-insulated, which means the outside of the oven is cool to the touch while the inside is blazing hot!
Each oven has an inner layer of authentic fire brick and mortar, which is then covered with a thick layer of our own international patent of Rockwool Insulation that is secured with metal batting before an additional layer of refractory cement — guaranteeing durability and efficiency. Here is a sneak peek video of how these ovens are made from our factory in Portugal:
Upgraded Premium Hardware: The Pizzaioli Rustic Arch Brick Wood Fired Pizza Oven has a high-quality NON-RUST CAST ALUMINUM Door and Chimney Cavity, and a high-quality STAINLESS STEEL Chimney. The door opens down and has a peep through high heat viewing window pane that allows you to see the food you are cooking.
This may sound exaggerated but yes, you can fit multiple pizzas inside this oven, but realistically, here's how Patio & Pizza recommends you get the most use out of your space. We've scaled it down so you can get the picture.
Pizzaioli Oven FeaturesBuilt brick by brick by Portuguese craftsmen, these traditional ovens are exactly what any outdoor space needs to truly become unique. The Pizzaioli brick oven is built on a 3.15-inch concrete base so you only need to build 2 strong brick walls (or concrete) with each 6 inches wide, as a base for this oven. This traditional oven holds onto heat for over 3 hours with its door shut, letting you walk away from the oven without worrying your cooking temperature will sink like a rock. The lower dome of this outdoor pizza oven assures more direct heat reflection to the oven floor and the wider mouth of the Pizzaioli makes it ideal for your larger pizzas.

Concerning the statement "All our brick ovens REQUIRE "all-weather" protection from rain...". Is this to reduce discoloration, or cracking, or something else? Thanks, Jim
Thank you for the great question! Your brick pizza oven can last a lifetime with the proper care and maintenance, some of which involves making sure your pizza oven is protected from the elements with a cover which fits from the chimney to the ground.
The reason we strongly reccomend this is that you want to avoid getting even the smallest amount of moisture from rain, ice or snow inside your brick oven. If water does seep into your oven and if the interior is not allowed to dry completely before you fire it up again, any moisture inside turns to steam which looks for a way to escape and the resulting pressure can cause cracks or damage to your oven. It is for this reason we offer a great selection of covers to protect your investment.
Are the brick fire brick or regular red clay brick and is mortar refractive
Great question! The answer would be that these beautiful and durable brick pizza ovens are created using several different materials. First, a cement base is poured, and the floor is covered with natural yellow sand and terra-cotta tiles. Next, the dome is built from natural kiln-fired rounded clay bricks. The dome shape is perfectly designed and insulated with rock wool for longer heat retention and reduced exterior temperatures (you can touch outside even when the fire is raging inside). Then, wire and high-quality refractory cement is smoothed over the rock wool and painted for a beautiful pizza oven. While these ovens are beautiful as is, you can easily enhance these brick pizza ovens to match your style by applying tiles, stucco, stone veneer, brick, or paint to them.
