OVEN FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS
Note: As these ovens are handmade, no two are exactly the same - the dimensions and the colors may not be exact but are close.
Standard Custom Pizzaioli Hardware:
The Pizzaioli Custom will have an IRON DOOR and a STAINLESS STEEL CHIMNEY FLUE. Authentic Pizza Ovens never uses a galvanized coating or zinc galvanizing coating on any of their products. The zinc coating is lead-free and has a minimum zinc content of 99%, and represents no health hazard from contact with food or any kind.
All of our ovens are AUTHENTIC BRICK not CLAY! Be careful of this when shopping oven brands- there IS A DIFFERENCE. Our ovens are HANDMADE in Portugal and are triple-insulated, which means the outside of the oven is cool to the touch while the inside is blazing hot!
Each oven has an inner layer of authentic fire brick and mortar, which is then covered with a thick layer of our own international patent of Rockwool Insulation that is secured with metal batting before an additional layer of refractory cement — guaranteeing durability and efficiency. Here is a sneak peek video of how these ovens are made from our factory in Portugal:
This may sound exaggerated but yes, you can fit multiple pizzas inside this oven, but realistically, here's how Patio & Pizza recommends you get the most use out of your space. We've scaled it down so you can get the picture.
Pizzaioli Oven FeaturesBuilt brick by brick by Portuguese craftsmen, these traditional ovens are exactly what any outdoor space needs to truly become unique. The Pizzaioli brick oven is built on a 3.15-inch concrete base so you only need to build 2 strong brick walls (or concrete) with each 6 inches wide, as a base for this oven. This traditional oven holds onto heat for over 3 hours with its door shut, letting you walk away from the oven without worrying your cooking temperature will sink like a rock. The lower dome of this outdoor pizza oven assures more direct heat reflection to the oven floor and the wider mouth of the Pizzaioli makes it ideal for your larger pizzas.

Does this unit really weigh 1,000 lbs? Do you really need a fork lift to set them?
Yes. This oven really does weigh 1,000lbs.
995lbs for the Traditional, 1500lbs for the Stone, 1850lbs for the Rustic.
The oven is shipped packed in a crate on a pallet so it can be initially moved around with a pallet jack. To lift the pizza oven into place on its base, most customers use one of the following methods:
1. Open the crate and move the oven with an engine hoist or forklift (attaching chains to the 4 eyelets on the corners of the oven)
2. Move the entire crate using a forklift onto the base. Remove the crate from around the oven so it is only sitting on the pallet. Slowly lift the oven a few inches with the forklift so you can remove the pallet from under the oven. Lower the oven back to the base.
3. Open the crate and move the oven with a crane (attaching chains to the 4 eyelets on the corners of the oven) - believe it or not, in some areas you can get this done for under $200.
You can find more on this here in our blog section. How To Move Your Oven To Its Base
can i purchase a premium door to be installed for this oven?
Unfortunately, the door used for our Premium Ovens (non-rust aluminum door) is not compatible with this oven model.
what type of door comes with this oven?
This oven comes with an iron door, the same door as that of our Pizzaioli Standard Brick Traditional Pizza Oven. We recommend the door and chimney flu to be treated with a high-heat Rustoleum. Rustoleum comes in different colors so you can use any color you'd like to customize the appearance of the door.
