OVEN FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS
Note: As these ovens are handmade, no two are exactly the same - the dimensions and colors may not be exact but are close.
All of our ovens are AUTHENTIC BRICK not CLAY! Be careful of this when shopping oven brands- there IS A DIFFERENCE. Our ovens are HANDMADE in Portugal and are triple-insulated, which means the outside of the oven is cool to the touch while the inside is blazing hot!
Each oven has an inner layer of authentic fire brick and mortar, which is then covered with a thick layer of our own international patent of Rockwool Insulation that is secured with metal batting before an additional layer of refractory cement — guaranteeing durability and efficiency. Here is a sneak peek video of how these ovens are made from our factory in Portugal:
Premium Hardware Upgrade: The Pizzaioli PREMIUM Brick Pizza Oven with Stone Arch boasts premium hardware, including a black NON-RUST CAST ALUMINUM door, chimney cavity, and STAINLESS STEEL chimney. The door features a peep-through high-heat viewing window, providing a glimpse into your culinary creations.
This may sound exaggerated but yes, you can fit multiple pizzas inside this oven, but realistically, here's how Patio & Pizza recommends you get the most use out of your space. We've scaled it down so you can get the picture.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?

What tools do I need for my wood fire pizza oven?
You will need a pizza peel to put your pizza pie in the oven, turn the pizza while in the oven, and pull out your scrumptious pizza when it's done. Next, we recommend a good infrared thermometer to measure the heat in your oven when cooking, an oven brush for brushing away the ashes, and an ash shovel to remove the ash after cooking. We have a great selection of pizza oven tools available here: https://www.patioandpizza.com/collections/pizza-oven-accessories.
What's the floor size of the brick ovens from Authentic Pizza Ovens?
There is 5" from the bottom of the oven to the floor base. The base filled with Rockwood insulation is approximately 2.5" so the bricks are around 2.5" thick as well.
What's the heating time of stainless steel and brick ovens?
Stainless steel pizza ovens will heat faster but they won't stay hot as long. Brick ovens take longer to completely heat but the heat will be retained in the oven for much longer cooking times.
Do you sell anything to fill in the cracks on my oven?
Yes! We sell the Ultra Fire kit that ships with our Authentic Pizza Brick Ovens. The Ultra Fire pizza oven repair solution can be used to fill any cracks. Click here to go the Ultra Fire Kit Product Page.
My flue ring on top is rusting away and i have cracks around my oven. Do you do any repairs to ovens?
Thank you for reaching out! Without knowing how long you’ve had the oven (we’re unable to locate an order in our system for you) and in order to make a definitive recommendation we’d need to see images of the cracks you’ve mentioned and gather a bit more information from you to assist us in determining the cause.
Moisture inside the oven or an incorrect curing process (curing at a heat which is higher than recommended for that stage in the curing process) can cause cracks to develop, however it is perfectly normal for a pizza oven to develop hairline cracks over time. These types of cracks do not at all impact the performance of your pizza oven and some cultures believe it is these cracks which give an oven its own individual “character”. In fact, we've addressed this subject in our blog. We think you'll find this blog post informative: https://www.patioandpizza.com/blogs/resources/pizza-oven-crack
However, natural as they may be, there are many folks who choose to use a crack repairing formulation such as our “Ultrafire Pizza Oven Repair Kit” in order to repair the cracks and also customize their oven further as Ultrafire can be tinted or painted over with a high heat tolerant paint. Regarding your flue ring, in addition to covering your oven when not in use, additional steps such as painting over it with a high heat tolerant paint or Rustoleum will take care of that rust.
How do we lift it with fork lifts to the top of our stone base from the ground after it is out of crate
The Pizzaioli oven and other brick ovens from Portugal have eyelets on all four corners. You can attach chains or heavy duty straps to the four corners so that you can use an engine hoist or forklift to pick up the oven. Just make sure to protect your oven from the straps with a towel or other material so you don't damage your oven if using chains. Then gently move the oven and lower on its base.
Will there be problems with Pizzaioli oven in winter?
We have customers that use the Pizzaioli oven in the snow without any issues. We recommend using a cover when not in use.
Is the Pizzaioli oven suitable for a small commercial kitchen?
Our ovens from Authentic Pizza Ovens are not NSF Certified. You can find all of our NSF Cerfitifed pizza ovens here
